These spinning ghosts are one of my favorite easy Halloween decorations! They’re made from cardboard, cost almost nothing, and twist and twirl with the slightest breeze. Make them big for your porch, or use the free printable to make mini versions with the kids.

MAKE THIS
Try this: Start with a grapevine wreath and tuck in orange and black berry picks until it's nice and full. Add a black ribbon and a small black-painted wood sign with “BOO” painted in white. Or, choose one of the 19 other easy-to-make Halloween wreaths in my roundup.
FROM MY KITCHEN
My fridge is full of apples right now, so apple crisp is definitely on the menu! This one has warm cinnamon apples under a buttery oat topping, and it’s even better warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
MY FAVORITE FIND
I’ve always stored my wreaths by either squishing them (just a little!) into storage bins with my other holiday decorations or making a makeshift container out of old cardboard boxes. I’m excited to try this much simpler, and hopefully much better, solution for keeping them protected between seasons.

LIFE MADE EASIER
Declutter as you decorate.
As you pull out your fall and Halloween decorations, notice what stays in the bins. I realized I have decorations that have moved with me through seven different houses even though I haven’t actually used them since the first one! Why am I still storing them? (Because I’m a pack rat - - but, I’m working on it.)
If you haven’t put something out in years, consider donating it instead of packing it away again. Then, when Halloween comes down, take another look. If something stayed in the bin all season, that’s a pretty good sign you probably don’t need to store it for another year.
A LITTLE SOMETHING FREE
These mini spinning ghosts are a fun little Halloween craft for kids! Print the free pattern, cut them out, and hang them up to twist and twirl. They’d be especially cute for a classroom or Halloween party activity.
